School dress codes teach girls that their bodies are inherently sexual and that girls aren’t entitled to human decency unless they cover up
School dress codes teach children and teenagers that school is a professional environment, and in professional environments you can’t just wear whatever you want. If dress codes were in place to oppress women, they would only apply to female students. They don’t. End of story.

Children should be taken out of public school for a hell of a lot of reasons, but state mandated “Education“ about sexual orientations and gender identity that the parents are not allowed to opt out of is definitely one of them
Okay but some people are LGBT+. That is no reason to be taken out of public school. I think it is important people learn about this.
I will never understand your constant refusal to understand the difference between learning about something and learning about something in the specific way that the state mandates and not being able to opt out of it. And this is not just a lesson on how LGBT people exist, it’s specifically a lesson on whatever their slant of “gender“ “gender identity“ is. Whether you think it’s appropriate for your child or not. Whether you think it’s age-appropriate or not. They don’t give a fuck what you want because if you let them educate your child you give up all rights or what your children learn and how they learn it.

This will kill children. I am speaking literally and without exaggeration. I have met too many families whose parents work three jobs and still have to rely on school meals to feed their kids. This will kill children.
The Republicans want to kill the poor.
No other way to put this, they honest to God, want to kill off the poor.

It’s amazing how quickly liberals start pointing to other people’s wallets as soon as a publicly paid program gets cut - as if the “billionaire class” even paid for the school lunch program to begin with. More likely it was paid by the parents of morons like @bittertits, @thewinddrifter, and Marge above. They have no clue how taxes and government spending works. All they understand is class envy. It’s pathetic how they believe they are entitled to someone else’s money.

As they should?
Yes, how dare people think that maybe people in society should be able to eat, and that maybe the country that spends the most than any other country on it’s own military, should try and maybe fund programs so that poor people can eat. How dare people think that maybe, other people should be able to take care of each other?
Because who needs basic food intake, right? Who gives a shit about things like, basic decency.
Go fuck yourself, you heartless, worthless fuckstain.
Ah, you thought you would just write this and block me? Nice try.
So, you just assume that you are entitled to someone else’s money simply because they have more of it?
I’m sorry, despite your backwards justification of pointing at unrelated government spending and acknowledging the fact that there are hungry people in this country does not give you the right to simply take money from people. That’s not how it works. That is not charitable or compassionate. That is outright theft.
Furthermore, simply because I do not want to go along with your little ‘let’s steal money from people to fund free stuff’ scheme does not make me heartless.

I usually agree @redbloodedamerica, but as a more conservative libertarian who comes from a family that is below the “poverty” line, taking free or reduced lunches away will hurt alot of familes. I live in the poor south, and my mom is a teacher. She’s had to support me and my 3 other siblings on teachers pay (trash), while maintaining a home. Without reduced lunch, we would only eat at the house, and with each kid being a teenager, that is growing, that isn’t enough. The reduced and free lunch program keeps kids that are living in their cars, living in foster homes of 15+ other kids, and generally poor working people fed. It is one of the programs that, yes comes from tax dollars, but helps keep kids alive. (Every example I just gave are personal friends everyday lives, who may or may not get a meal every OTHER day…)
Well, don’t worry your conservative libertarian heart out, because this is 100% fake news. Apparently, idiotic liberals have taken Betsy DeVos’ phrase “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” from CPAC as literal policy. Because of course progressives would not be familiar with the economic term popularly used by the likes of Milton Friedman. Some of them probably actually do believe “free lunches” are “free”.
No, she is not cutting school lunches and she couldn’t even if she wanted to. This is just another clear example of ignorance on how the federal government operates. The Department of Education does not even run the National School Lunch Program or the National School Breakfast Program. That would be the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
So, when complete buffoons like @bittertits above says “I am speaking literally and without exaggeration,” they are literally exaggerating. No, Republicans do not want to “kill the poor,” you crazy fruitcakes.

I taught in 90+% free/reduced lunch schools for five years. I spent a lot of paychecks on food for my kids. I know what I’m talking about. Of course, there’s absolutely nothing anyone could say to make someone like you have a bit of sympathy, much less empathy, so fuck right off to hell.

This is completely fake news. So you don’t know what you are talking about.
But now I have to go to bed knowing you have actual influence over young impressionable children.
She needs to take care of her children, who go to school in New York. She has the right to decide where her children get their education. I don’t get why this is a fucking scandal
I think the main concern people have is that she’ll have to have separate security in New York which might cost more than it would if she lived with her husband.
that’s a legitimate issue, but not one that requires the implied “GASP”
Barron Trump goes to a school that isn’t homeschool. Even if it’s private school, it’s still not homeschool. He’s constantly around other children. With how everyone has been talking about Trump there’s actually a pretty good chance that he’s being bullied because of who his parents are.

News Reporter: It has now been a week since the app from the famous video game franchise Pokemon, Pokemon Go has been released. Since then, millions upon millions of children around the world, all at the age of ten, ran away from home. Not only children, but even teenagers and young adults as well, have dropped out of school and college all around the nation, because “there was a shiny bidoof outside during class.” Even more shocking, the economy in all major countries has fallen dramatically, as most workers had quit their jobs. People have started to invade highly secure locations, such as area 51, with eyewitnesses stating that Deoxys and Elgyem could be caught in there. It is truly a critical time in history, and we must do something abou- HOLY SHIT THERE’S A CHANSEY RIGHT OUTSIDE THE BUILDING.
I am loving this far too much. XD
This year Nevada passed the most innovative and expansive school choice program in the country. It affects every student in Nevada public schools - that’s 450,000 kids. And what the state did is creation education savings accounts. This gives parents the ability to customize their children’s education by spending their education dollars on a variety of educational goods and services.
This program really doesn’t do anything to change or undermine Nevada’s obligation to fund and operate the public schools. All that it does is to recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to education and that parents are in the best position to make the right choices for their children.
I don’t care how many teenagers walk out of school, our country is not led by children. I waited until 18 to vote and y’all can too. Get some life experience before thinking you have the right to tell other people what to do.
Can’t speak to anyone individually, but statistically, a huge percentage of you will change your political views in the near future. Why? Gaining knowledge and experience.
I don’t care who’s told you about the “evolution of the next generation” and the “mouths of babes”, you still have a lot to learn. Do you really think people get dumber as they get older? Why DON’T older folks tend to favor gun control? Ask yourself why people tend to think more conservatively as they get older. Believe me, regardless of what your teachers say, it’s not because their brains rot out with age.
